Better objects for everyday life.
Omvato designs everyday objects that people keep, for one desk or a whole organisation.
Most everyday objects are tolerated. Ours are meant to be kept.
Omvato exists because the things people use most are often the things chosen with the least care. A mug, a sleeve, a charger. We make those objects properly, so they are a small pleasure to reach for and easy to give to someone else.
Objects with a job to do.
Carry, Drink, Power, Find, Work and Travel. Six worlds, each built around something a day actually needs: a laptop moved between rooms, a coffee that stays right, a device kept charged, keys that are never lost.
Three things we hold to.
Start with the job.
Every object begins with something a day needs done. If the job is not real, the object is not made.
Do less, properly.
Fewer parts, fewer features, fewer things to explain. What remains is finished with care.
Be easy to keep.
An object earns its place by being simple to use, clean and carry, day after day.
In the bag. On the desk.
A desk day: the mug, the organiser, the charger, all within reach.
A travel day: the wallet, the tag on the keys, the bottle that comes along.
