Accessibility
Everyone should be able to use this website. Here is how we work toward that, and how to tell us when we fall short.
Our commitment
We want everyone to be able to use this website, whatever device, browser or assistive technology they use. Accessibility is part of how we design, not something added afterwards. We review the site as it grows and fix problems as we find them.
Standards we design to
We design and build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. This is our target. We do not claim certified conformance, and some pages may not yet meet every criterion. We treat any gap as something to fix.
What we have done
- Semantic structure: one main heading per page, headings in order, landmarks for navigation and content.
- Keyboard navigation: every link, button and form control can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone.
- Visible focus: a clear focus style shows where you are on the page.
- Reduced motion: when your system asks for reduced motion, animated transformations are removed and all content and navigation stay in place.
- Contrast: text and interface colours are chosen to meet AA contrast ratios on the surfaces we use.
- Alternative text: images that carry meaning have text alternatives. Decorative images are hidden from assistive technology. Where an image is not yet available, the placeholder says so in text.
- Forms: every field has a visible label, and errors are described in text next to the field they relate to.
- Text can be resized and the layout adapts to narrow screens and high zoom without loss of content.
Known limitations
We publish the issues we know about so you can plan around them while we fix them.
We keep a list of known issues and their status. Ask us for it at hello@omvato.com.
Feedback and contact
If something on this site is hard to use, or does not work with your assistive technology, please tell us. It helps to include the page address, what you were trying to do, and the browser and assistive technology you were using.
Contact us through the Contact page or by email at hello@omvato.com. We will acknowledge your message and let you know what we plan to do.
