Warranty Policy

Objects should last. When one does not, this is what we cover and how to reach us.

Scope

This policy applies to objects supplied by Omvato under an order confirmation. It should be read together with our Terms of Use and, for organisations, our Corporate Order Terms. Where an order confirmation states different warranty conditions, the order confirmation applies.

This warranty is in addition to your statutory rights and does not reduce them.

Warranty period

Each object is covered against defects in materials and workmanship for the warranty period stated in the applicable order confirmation. The period runs from the date of delivery. Different objects may carry different periods; the order confirmation is the reference.

What is covered

  • Defects in materials, such as a seam, weld, coating or component that fails under normal use.
  • Defects in workmanship, such as an assembly fault present when the object was delivered.
  • Customisation that differs from the approved proof, or that fails under normal use within the warranty period.

What is not covered

  • Ordinary wear and tear, including scuffs, fading, patina on natural materials and gradual loss of finish.
  • Damage from misuse, accident, neglect, improper cleaning, or use outside the object's intended purpose.
  • Modifications or repairs carried out by anyone other than us or a repairer we have approved.
  • Cosmetic variation that is a natural feature of the material.
  • Consumables and parts expected to wear, unless they fail because of a defect.
  • Objects not supplied by us, or objects without proof of supply.

Electronic objects

Objects that contain a battery or that charge other devices are covered by this warranty in the same way as other objects, with two notes. Batteries lose capacity over time with normal use; gradual loss of capacity is not a defect. Chargers and cables should be used only with compatible devices and within the specifications supplied with the object; damage caused by incompatible devices or power sources is not covered.

How to make a claim

Start on the Warranty page at /warranty, or through Order Support at /order-support. Tell us your order reference, describe the fault, and include photographs where you can. We will confirm whether the claim is covered and tell you what to do next. Please do not send an object back until we have asked you to.

We may ask to inspect the object before deciding a claim. Where we ask for it to be returned for inspection, we will tell you how, and we will cover the cost of return for a valid claim.

Remedies

For a valid claim we will, at our choice, repair the object, replace it with the same or an equivalent object, or refund the price paid. Where a replacement for a customised object is needed, it will be produced to the previously approved proof. A repair or replacement does not extend the original warranty period unless the order confirmation says otherwise.
